A drawing of my etching press was included in the Registration Method tutorial I wrote up in the Printmaking section of the website and I have had a few people contact me wanting to know more about it.
I have added the first two pages of a five page write-up for this project under the information tab of the main menu on my website.
The first two pages include some background info on the project, the specifications of the press, and a brief outline of my research process for those that may be interested in the work involved and for individuals considering taking on a similar project. Comments and questions can be made at the end of each page and I will do my best to respond and modify/update the write-up as needed.
Pages three and four will contain the drawings and images of the press and construction, page five will contain a list of resources and credits for the project.

Updated Menu for the Blog and Website
Site News:
I've implemented new drop-down menu code for the blog and the website which I hope will make navigation easier for visitors. It relies less on smaller boxes which can be challenging to mouse through with the cursor and adds a larger background field which permits more options than the previous menu. In general this newer menu should allow visitors to quickly access the images and information that interest them most.
Photography News:
Early August of this year I submitted five images for a photo contest at Ridgefield NWR (Friends of Ridgefield) and recently got a call that one of those images placed in their annual contest! I'm not sure what place the image earned but will find out on Oct 10th, 2009 when they are officially announced during the Birdfest and Bluegrass Festival. The images are shown below (click for larger version), image number 5 (Savannah Sparrows on Teazle) is the one that placed in the contest. The placing may be first, second, third, or one of nine honorable mentions.

Recent Photo Links Added to Sidebar
In the blog sidebar (on the right) I have attached a Recent Photos widget/feature to permit easy access to view images which have been uploaded to my web site within the last 15, 30, and 60 days.
Upon clicking any of the three links a gallery page will open displaying a matrix of thumbnail images and a viewing pane. Depending on the depth of the search there may be multiple pages to look through, navigation is provided above the thumbnails.
For additional convenience, each image is provided with a link located below the viewing pane which opens the gallery it belongs to if you care to see related images posted at an earlier time period.
Additional features in the galleries:
-Image comments
-Photo ranking for images you especially like — or don't like
